ATC Basketball League
ATC Basketball League will begin the season with training in the various aspects of the game. Each athlete will go through stages during each of the training sessions: Jump shots, Free Throws, Ball Handling and Game situations. Teams will be determined by geographic location and by school affiliation. ATC is going to offer as an alternative a one on one skills section throughout the season for those athletes who would like to concentrate mostly on developing their basketball skills. This section will take the place of the actual game portion. However, all athletes will continue to shoot free throws at the start of the game as well as at the half and/or overtime situations with their scores used for the final outcome of the game.
There are NO restrictions in joining the ATC Basketball league. The basketball hoops will have both 8 feet hoops as well as the traditional 10 feet for all competitions. Coaches will assist the very small athletes with their shots. The league will be 3 on 3 with mandatory substitutions every 2 minutes. The game will involve at least 2 - 14 minute halves. Each game will begin at the free throw line for every player. All athletes will be major contributors to their respective teams.
ATC Basketball will be a $40.00 fee. We will also have a family rate, which will be $45.00 for two children, $50.00 for three or more children. The co-payment will be based on the family total fee. If you are in need of a ride, please note this request on the application. There will be an additional $5 charge per session or $25 charge for an entire sport season payable with the application.
